Long time ago our “ChaldoAssyrian Students & Youth Union” had tried their best to establish new and strong relationships with its international counterpart organizations and unions all over the world. This has been one of the main goals of our Union since its establishment. Consequently, the Eighth Congress of our Union, which was held under the slogan "a new horizon for the global vision", was a new start towards building strong relationships with similar associations that share the same visions, principles and ideas. Thus, as a first step towards international integration we started to build up new relations with our counterpart youth and student associations with our neighboring countries.  Accordingly, we met many associations and made many mutual workshops in different international forums in order to be able to reveal to the world the sufferings and distresses of our people and which also threaten our historical presence on the land of our fathers and forefathers.

To achieve this goal, we started to build up relations with "The International Young Democrat Union" (IYDU) which shares similar orientations, bearings, and ideas with the “ChaldoAssyrian Students & Youth Union”.  This decision was made after extensive investigations and discussions which eventuated over the period of approximately one year. As a result, our Union was able to participate for the first time in the (IYDU) annual Council Meeting for the year ending 2011, which was hosted by the Young Liberal Movement of Australia (YLM) in Sydney from 10th to 13th January 2012 and we as “ChaldoAssyrian Students & Youth Union” were accepted as a Full member with the (IYDU).  Acceptance into the International Union has proven to be a very exciting achievement for our union (Khoyada) as it gained entrance on its first application, where in most cases - other participants applied for a number of years before gaining acceptance into the IYDU.  This achievement however, was due to the dedication and hard work of the loyal members of ChladoAssyrian Students & Youth UNION (Khoyada).  Moreover, our Union (Khoyada) presented a speech by Lowyta Nahren Georges who is one of our Union (Khoyada) committee members in Sydney; her speech had successfully attracted the attention of the Board members and all other IYDU members who were presented at this council meeting.

Finally, since we have been presented with this opportunity, it has now opened further avenues onto the world stage.  We hope that this achievement will give us the opportunity to do our best to help our people and to deliver a strong case to the international forums.

We would like to get this opportunity to congratulate our new members of ChladoAssyrian Students & Youth Union (Khoyada) which was recently established in Sydney – Australia and had given us a great support with their participation in the IYDU Council meeting in Sydney, within the short time of their establishment they have provided a great effort in building a good network and connection with all the IYDU members who were presence at the council meeting in Sydney.

The committee members of Sydney branch include the following:

Dalila Shinko – Chairperson

George Gewargis – Joudo Arabou – Nahren Georges – Victoria Auraha and
